Professional Background
Mr. Abajian brings a wealth of experience in software engineering and systems administration. Current expertise includes Python, web frameworks, and SQL, with legacy expertise in Fortran, C, C++, Java, and Perl. He has designed databases, websites, and web services, tuned performance, configured servers, provided desktop support, and addressed numerous other facets of information technology.
Mr. Abajian comes to USC after a 21-year career at Caltech and JPL. Past projects include: controls for a Panorama Camera for a Mars rover, controls for the sensors on the Galaxy Evolution Explorer, both for NASA; user interfaces and databases for NASA's Exoplanet Science Institute; and full-spectrum IT support for the Department of Energy's Joint Center for Artificial Photosynthesis.
Mr. Abajian is committed to providing robust and timely solutions for high-profile projects in support of the advancement of scientific and academic goals.
